The tour has a number of goals:
1. Players to experience different cultures.
2. To help develop team culture among coaches and players.
3. For everyone, players, coaches and family members, to have a good time.
4. Our major goal is for the team to learn and improve by playing the
highest quality opponents possible.
Traditionally the measure of success on tour has not been wins and losses,
but whether the players have learned and improved, played against a higher level of competition,
and the team is functioning better as a unit. The fact that the tour has become such a strong
team tradition is evidence that it is has helped each year’s group meet these goals.
Past tours have gone to:

2014 Italy
2013 Argentina and Uruguay

The tour is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors, including players
just starting out on their rugby career. Each player going on tour
is expected to raise funds for the tour by selling ads for the annual
Rugby Yearbook. In the past, the Rugby Boosters have also provided
financlal assistance to players in need. If you are thinking about
playing rugby, becoming a better rugby player, or have the goal of
playing on Gonzaga’s “A” side at some time in the future – you need to go on tour!
