Upcoming Dates for 2016-17
6/8- Returning Players Weight Lifting Program begins. Days and Times will be finalized shortly and posted here.
6/30- Weight Lifting Program begins with our Strength and Conditioning Coach, Milton Yates. These workouts will take place on campus following the Freshmen transition classes. More info will be made available by Coach Yates as we get closer to the 30th.
6/27-7/1- Gonzaga Summer Baseball Camp for rising 1st-9th graders at Westland MS in Bethesda. Brochures can be found on the website.
8/31- All Players Meeting for any Gonzaga student looking to try out in the spring. During this meeting we will go through all of the details for the season, spring break, off season training, camps and more. There are two time options for the players to attend. They only need to attend one of the meetings. 730am or 3pm. Meeting will last 20 minutes and will take place in The Carmody Center.
9/1- All Parents Meeting for any parent of a Gonzaga student looking to try out in the spring. During this meeting we will go through all of the details for the season, spring break, off season training, camps, parent/coach relationship and more. The meeting will be go from 630-8pm in the Lower Commons.
9/12-12/9- Fall Semester Off Season Workouts(see "Off Season Training" tab for schedule)
12/9- All Players Meeting for any Gonzaga student looking to try out in the spring. During this meeting we will go through all of the details for Holiday Break Workouts, Winter Camp and more. There are two time options for the players to attend. They only need to attend one of the meetings. 750am or 3pm. Meeting will last 10-15 minutes and will take place in The Carmody Center.
1/9-2/17- Spring Semester Off Season Workouts(see "Off Season Training" tab for schedule)
2/20-2/23- Spring Tryouts for all Gonzaga players. We will have three teams that all players will be trying out for(JV White, JV Purple and Varsity.) We will keep roughly 50 players spread out among the three teams. In past years, anywhere from 65-75 players have tried out, so cuts will be made.
****2016 Spring Break Expectations. All three teams will have games and practices during spring break with the exception of the following days: Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday. Players are free to travel on those three days listed, but the other spring break days, we will have mandatory activities scheduled for all players and coaches.
There will be other events and activities that occur between now and Spring Tryouts and those will be distributed to you as the details are finalized.
